Getting Started with EverythingData and Looker Studio

To connect EverythingData with Looker Studio, follow these detailed steps to start visualizing and analyzing your data efficiently.

Step 1: Log in to EverythingData

  • Visit EverythingData’s website and log in to your account.
  • If you don’t have an account yet, create one by following the sign-up process. Ensure you have the necessary permissions to set up integrations.

Step 2: Navigate to the Connections Section

  • Once logged in, go to the Connections tab in your EverythingData dashboard.
  • This is where you’ll manage and add data sources for integration with Looker Studio.

Step 3: Add a Data Source

  • Click on Add Data Source to open the list of available platforms.
  • Select the platform you wish to connect, such as Facebook Ads, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Ads, etc.

Step 4: Authenticate with the Platform

  • Once you select a platform, a prompt will appear to authenticate with the chosen platform.
  • Follow the authentication steps, which may include logging in to your platform account and granting necessary permissions for EverythingData to access your data.

Step 5: Grant EverythingData Permissions

  • After authenticating, grant EverythingData the required permissions to access and pull data from the platform.
  • Once permissions are granted, the data source will be added to your Connections list.

Step 6: Open Looker Studio

  • Go to Looker Studio and log in with your Google account.
  • Ensure you have editor access in Looker Studio to create or modify reports.

Step 7: Add EverythingData as a Data Source in Looker Studio

  • In Looker Studio, create a New Report or open an existing report where you want to use EverythingData as a source.
  • Click on Add Data in the report’s settings, and then Add Connector.
  • Search for EverythingData in the list of available connectors, or enter the connector URL if provided on your EverythingData dashboard.

Step 8: Configure Data Fields and Select Metrics

  • Once authenticated, you’ll see a list of data fields and metrics available from EverythingData. Review this list to ensure you’re pulling the right data.
  • Select the specific fields you want to display in your Looker Studio report. Customize this by adding or removing fields based on your report’s goals.

Step 9: Customize and Build Your Report

  • With your EverythingData connection now live, you can start designing your report in Looker Studio.
  • Drag and drop widgets, apply filters, and arrange the data visuals to suit your analysis needs.
  • Configure data refresh settings based on how frequently you want the data to update (e.g., hourly, daily).

Step 10: Save and Share Your Report

  • Once you’ve set up your Looker Studio report, click Save.
  • To share, go to Share Report and select your preferred sharing settings (e.g., view-only, edit access) for team members or stakeholders.
