Overview of Facebook Ads Data Connector

The Facebook Ads data connector in EverythingData provides a powerful integration for managing and analyzing ad performance data directly within the EverythingData platform. This connection automates data collection, enabling users to track key metrics like conversions, ad spend, and engagement. By connecting Facebook Ads to EverythingData, you can create custom dashboards, blend data from multiple sources, and make data-driven decisions to maximize ROI across campaigns.

Prerequisites for Connecting Facebook Ads

To connect Facebook Ads, ensure the following:

  • Facebook Business Manager Account: You must have an active Facebook Business Manager account with administrative access to the Ads account you plan to connect.
  • Permissions: Verify permissions in Facebook Ads Manager, including Campaign Insights and Ad Insights. If working as an agency, confirm that the client’s Business Manager account has granted the required permissions.
  • Access Token (if required): Some users may need to manually generate an access token in Facebook Business Manager. This can be done under Business Manager > Settings > System Users. Generate a new token with permissions aligned with EverythingData’s requirements.
  • Active Campaigns: Ensure the Ads account has active or recently completed campaigns, as data retrieval relies on available campaign data.
  • Valid Billing and Account Status: Verify the Ads account has valid payment information. Suspended or billing-issue accounts may restrict data access.

    • In EverythingData, select the specific Facebook Ads account you wish to connect. This step is critical if you manage multiple accounts within your Business Manager.
    • EverythingData may prompt you to select specific campaigns, ad sets, or demographic filters (such as age, gender, or location) if you want a more customized data import. This allows you to focus on the campaigns and ad sets most relevant to your reporting needs.
  5. Configure Data Sync Preferences
    • Set your preferred data sync frequency:
      • Daily Sync: Recommended for high-frequency, active ad accounts with ongoing analysis needs.
      • Weekly Sync: For accounts with lower activity or more periodic reporting needs.
    • Choose your data range for syncing, such as the last 30 or 90 days, and prioritize specific metrics based on reporting requirements (e.g., conversions, ad spend, CTR).
    • Review options for granular data syncs to ensure the connector aligns with your reporting goals.
  6. Test Connection and Save Settings
    • Test the connection to confirm that EverythingData can pull data from your Facebook Ads account successfully.
    • Review your chosen sync settings, then click Save and Confirm. This action saves your configuration and initiates the first data import, which will run according to your sync schedule.
