The Microsoft Advertising integration with EverythingData empowers you to track and analyze your ad performance on the Microsoft Advertising network (formerly Bing Ads). By connecting Microsoft Advertising to EverythingData, you gain insights into campaign reach, click-through rates, conversions, and spending. This connection helps you consolidate your ad data, create customized reports, and make data-driven adjustments to optimize your campaigns for better engagement and return on investment.
Prerequisites
Before connecting Microsoft Advertising to EverythingData, ensure the following requirements are met:
- Microsoft Advertising account with admin access: You must have administrative access to the Microsoft Advertising account(s) you wish to connect. Admin permissions are necessary for EverythingData to retrieve and manage ad performance data.
- User access permissions: Confirm that your Microsoft Advertising user account has sufficient permissions to access the ad accounts and campaigns you want to track. Permissions should cover all relevant campaigns within the account.
- Active campaigns with recent performance data: Ensure the campaigns you want to track are currently active and generating data. This will provide valuable insights and allow for meaningful reporting.
Steps to Connect Microsoft Advertising to EverythingData
- Log into EverythingData and access data sources
- Sign in to your EverythingData account and go to the main dashboard.
- Navigate to the Data Sources section to view available connectors.
- Locate Microsoft Advertising in the list and click Connect to begin the setup.
- Authenticate with Microsoft Advertising
- After selecting Microsoft Advertising, you’ll be redirected to Microsoft’s login page.
- Sign in using the Microsoft account with admin access to the desired advertising accounts.
- When prompted, authorize EverythingData to access your Microsoft Advertising data, allowing it to retrieve campaign metrics such as clicks, impressions, conversions, and costs.
- After selecting Microsoft Advertising, you’ll be redirected to Microsoft’s login page.
- Select ad accounts for integration
- After authentication, you’ll see a list of Microsoft Advertising accounts associated with your login.
- Choose one or multiple ad accounts to connect, particularly useful if you manage multiple accounts for different products or audiences.
- Click Next to proceed to data sync preferences.
- Configure data sync preferences
- Choose your data sync frequency:
- Daily sync: Recommended for active campaigns with frequent performance updates.
- Weekly sync: Useful for lower-frequency reporting or broader trend analysis.
- Select a data range, such as the past 30, 60, or 90 days, depending on your reporting goals.
- Specify the primary metrics of interest, such as click-through rate (CTR), cost-per-click (CPC), conversions, and overall spending, to ensure relevant data is collected.
- Choose your data sync frequency:
- Test connection and confirm settings
- Run a connection test to ensure EverythingData can successfully retrieve data from Microsoft Advertising.
- Review your settings, then click Save and Confirm to finalize the integration. EverythingData will begin syncing data as per your chosen settings.
- Access and customize Microsoft Advertising reports
- Once the integration is complete, head to the Reports section in EverythingData to view your Microsoft Advertising data.
- Use the reporting tools to create custom dashboards, filter by campaign or ad group, and blend Microsoft Advertising data with other sources for a comprehensive view of your ad performance.
- Generate reports that track key metrics, helping you refine your ad strategy based on data such as conversion rates, cost efficiency, and audience engagement.
