The Salesforce sandbox integration with EverythingData allows you to bring customer relationship management (CRM) data directly into your analytics environment. By connecting Salesforce to EverythingData, you can analyze key CRM metrics, including leads, opportunities, and customer accounts, in real time. This integration provides a holistic view of your sales pipeline, customer interactions, and overall CRM performance, empowering you to make data-driven decisions that enhance customer engagement and drive growth.

Prerequisites

Before connecting Salesforce sandbox to EverythingData, ensure the following requirements are met:

  • Salesforce sandboxaccount with API access: You must have an active Salesforce account with API access. Typically, Salesforce Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited editions include API access by default.
  • Salesforce sandbox permissions: You’ll need administrative privileges on Salesforce to configure API integrations, allowing EverythingData to retrieve CRM data accurately.

Steps to Connect Salesforce sandbox to EverythingData

  1. Log into EverythingData and access data sources
    • Sign in to your EverythingData account and open the main dashboard.
    • Navigate to the Data Sources section and locate the Salesforce connector.
    • Click Connect to begin the integration setup.
  2. Authenticate with Salesforce
    • You’ll be redirected to the Salesforce login page.
    • Enter your Salesforce credentials and log in using the account with admin access.
    • Authorize EverythingData to access Salesforce data, allowing it to retrieve key CRM metrics like leads, opportunities, account activities, and contact information.
  3. Select objects and fields to sync
    • After successful authentication, you’ll see a list of available Salesforce objects, such as Leads, Contacts, Accounts, and Opportunities.
    • Select the objects and fields relevant to your reporting needs, ensuring that the data being pulled aligns with your analytics goals.
    • For example, you may select fields like Lead Source, Opportunity Stage, or Account Owner for more targeted reporting.
  4. Configure data sync preferences
    • Choose the sync frequency:
      • Daily sync: Ideal for businesses needing real-time visibility into CRM activities.
      • Weekly sync: Useful for broader CRM trend analysis.
    • Specify the data range, such as the last 30, 60, or 90 days, depending on the period you want to analyze.
    • Confirm key metrics you wish to track, such as lead conversion rate, opportunity pipeline stage, and account growth.
  5. Test connection and confirm settings
    • Run a connection test to verify that EverythingData can successfully retrieve and sync your selected Salesforce data.
    • Review your settings, then click Save and Confirm to complete the setup. EverythingData will begin syncing your Salesforce data according to the configured preferences.
  6. Access and customize Salesforce reports
    • After completing the integration, navigate to the Reports section in EverythingData to view and analyze your Salesforce data.
    • Use reporting tools to build custom dashboards, apply filters for specific sales regions or product lines, and blend Salesforce data with other sources for comprehensive insights.
    • Generate reports to track metrics such as sales pipeline health, customer segmentation, and lead-to-close ratios, enabling a strategic approach to CRM management.
